Jan 05, 2019 · I think they (Callaway and some reviewer's) are saying the new ERC ball is suppose to be close but not sure! I think what I've read so far on the ERC has said that it's high-launching. Feel. Overall I prefer the Chrome Soft to the Pro V1. It might sound surprising, but the overall feel of the ball is outstanding. Where the Chrome Soft outperforms the Pro V1 in in the middle to long irons. The interesting part is that although the Chrome Soft has a significantly lower compression rating than the Pro V1 (75 vs. 90) and felt significantly softer off the face…the distance numbers were remarkably similar (this was with a 105-110 driver swing speed).
